SEGUIN, Texas – Hardin-Simmons' women's outdoor track competed in the TLU D3 Challenge in Seguin on Saturday.

Sydney Tencate placed first in the 5000m with a time of 19:17.91 which was also good for a new school record for the outdoor 5000m. Tencate also ran a second outdoor track record with a 5:54.81 mile.

Kearra Greer led the Cowgirls with a 12.49 in the 100m dash. The other Cowgirls to compete in the 100m were Becky Kudayah (12.88), and Zada Washington (13.06).

Greer also led the Cowgirls in the 200m dash with a 25.81. The other Cowgirls to compete in the 200m were Kudayah (27.15), Washington (27.47), and Destani Warner (27.80).

Lauren Franklin ran in the 100m hurdles with a 16.10, good for second overall. Jessica Eastham led the Cowgirls in the 400m with a 1:00.10. Leslie Gonzalez had a time of 1:05.60 in the 400m.

Gonzalez led the team in the 800m wit ha time of 2:41.20. Yadira Loera ran a 2:44.77 800m.

The 4x100m A team of Warner, Eastham, Kendra Fisher, and Kudayah ran a 49.56, good for first overall. The Cowgirl 4x400m team of Greer, Warner, Baley Green, and Eastham also placed first with a time of 4:09.78.

Camryn Aldridge placed second in the pole vault with a 11-5 (3.48m).

Johanna Jones led the team in the long jump with a 16-4 ½ (4.98m). Others in the long jump were Alexi Bushong with 15-4 ½ (4.69m) and Washington with 15-1 (4.60m). Aldridge led in the triple jump with a 34-10 (10.62m). Washington had a 30-6 (9.30m) triple jump.

Sydney Cortes led the Cowgirls in the major throws with a 33-10 (10.32m) shot put and a 114-6 ¾ (34.92m) discus. Laura Bennett had a 32-8 ¾ (9.98m) in the shot put.
