Hardin-Simmons University

Arthur Garza joined Hardin-Simmons as the head strength and conditioning coach, beginning on April 13, 2026 and is in his first year at HSU.

Garza holds a Bachelor's in exercise science from East Central University in 2009 and has his certifications in CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist), and USAW-1.
 
Garza was most recently the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Middle Tennessee State where he worked with football and was the head strength coach for the softball team.
 
Before that, coach Garza worked with Texas Woman's as the director of sports performance, East Central University as the director of strength and conditioning, and spent multiple summers in the TCU and SMU athletic departments' strength and conditioning coaching circles.  
 
Garza started off coaching in the Plano East and later Ranchview school systems at the high school and middle school level.   

Garza is a native of Lubbock, Texas and graduated from Frenship high school and is married to his wife Sarah.
